Port Townsend Film Festival brings a weekend celebration of films for and by young people including award-winning films from the latest edition of New York International Children’s Film Festival, National Film Festival for Talented Youth (NFFTY), Port Townsend High School Media Lab, Outside the Frame, Prodigy Camp and our feature documentary If You Build It from Crossroads Entertainment.

Young Filmmakers Showcase

Friday February 6, 7PM

A variety of short films for everyone, by young people from NFFTY, Outside the Frame, Prodigy Camp, and PTHS Media Lab.

NFFTY is the world’s largest, most influential film festival for emerging filmmakers. This lineup features filmmakers (age 13-24) from all over the country.

Outside the Frame is a Portland-based organization that offers filmmaking as an outlet for marginalized youth.

The Prodigy Camp empowers young filmmakers to excel both personally and professionally through storytelling.

Little Kid Flicks from New York International Children's Film Festival

Let your little ones discover the magic of the big screen with Little Kid Flicks. Whether searching for the perfect pancake or interviewing a crocodile, these shorts are sure to enchant and delight all audiences (but especially our youngest!)

 

Big Kid Flicks from the New York International Children's Film Festival

Big Kid Flicks is full of challenges big and small. With obstacles like training for the paralympics and selling ties across the countryside, this program is full of vibrancy and adventure.

 

Feature Documentary - IF YOU BUILD IT

Sunday February 8, 3PM

IF YOU BUILD IT follows designer-activists Emily Pilloton and Matthew Miller to rural Bertie County, the poorest in North Carolina, where they work with local high school students to help transform both their community and their lives.
