Beyond the Veil: Autumnal Folk Songs
Drawing on seasonal repertoire from late Appalachian greats such as Jean Richie, Doc Watson, Dolly Parton, the Child Ballads, and from contemporary and trad. folk archives, Ash will explore themes of transition, longing, mystery, spirit encounters, and bounty at harvest time. Local guest musicians and storytellers will drop by for a song or two in a traditional porch sittin' style.
About Ash Devine
Ash Devine is an Appalachian songwriter, ukulele and guitar player, performance artist, educator, and community arts facilitator. Born and raised in southwestern Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, Ash spent more than 17 years in Asheville, NC, deepening her connection to Appalachian folk traditions while developing her songwriting career. Ash tours nationally and internationally, performing more than 100 shows annually in venues, festivals, house concerts, healthcare settings, and educational communities.

Spend an unforgettable evening filled with Broadway favorites, heartfelt performances, and the incredible talents of Kat Agudo, accompanied by Linda Dowdell, along with her friends Kyle LeMaire, Morgan Bartholick, and Maggie Jo Bulkley who will make this a night to remember.
Most importantly, this evening is an opportunity for our community to surround Kat with love and support as she begins the difficult journey of rebuilding after this devastating loss.
