TERRY TENNESEN (SET DESIGNER) has worked for KCPT as a set designer and scenic artist for numerous productions including 2023’s WHAT THE DICKENS?!. Credits include ALWAYS PATSY CLINE, COLE PORTER REVUE, ANNAPURNA, THE BOOK CLUB PLAY, 4,000 MILES, KING LEAR, MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, JACQUES BREL, TWELFTH NIGHT, DRACULA, BARK! THE MUSICAL. He is an animator/illustrator/filmmaker with over 30 years of experience. He studied scenic design at Pacific Lutheran University and has designed sets for college productions and television commercials.
CORINNE ELYSSE ADAMS (COSTUMES) is a poet, story collector, editor, traditional musician, translator, and costumer. She holds a BA from Sophia University in Tokyo and a master’s in poetry from the University of Edinburgh. With the help of a generous grant from the Elizabeth George Foundation, she is working on the research, collection, and translation of pre-war and wartime Japanese women poets. She currently works for KCPT as a costume designer and spends much of her free time mending and restoring antique and vintage garments.
ALBERT MENDEZ (LIGHTING DESIGNER) has worked as a professional sound and light and video technician for more than 30 years. KCPT credits include GUNMETAL BLUES, THE CANTERVILLE GHOST, REDD, SPIRIT OF THE YULE, and THE BOOK CLUB PLAY, among many others. He is also responsible for designing and engineering the recent remodel of KCPT’s technical booth. Now a Port Townsend resident, Mendez toured nationally and internationally with numerous opera, dance, and theater companies as well as on cruise ships, and spent 4 years as a staff audio engineer at Benaroya Music Hall in Seattle.
TAYLOR THOMAS MARSH (SOUND DESIGNER)is a Port Townsend-based sound engineer and theatre-maker. She began her career in 2016 at the College of the Atlantic in Maine with a B.A. in Human Ecology. Most recently, she’s worked predominantly in the world of live sound, engineering shows at Key City Public Theatre, Finnriver Cidery, Wooden Boat Festival, Concerts on the Dock, Marrowstone Winery, and Olympic Pride Festival. Memorable credits include SOUVENIRS FROM EDEN, THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW and writing, directing, and sound designing her original piece FURTHER ADO.
MICHELLE CESMAT (SCENIC ARTIST) is the Resident Scenic Artist for KCPT. Her work includes GUNMETAL BLUES, ALWAYS… PATSY CLINE, REDD, THE CANTERVILLE GHOST, WHAT THE DICKENS?!, and LIVING INCOGNEGRO. Michelle holds a BA from Western Washington University, Art Studio (major), Art History and Anthropology (double minor) and holds an Illustration Certificate. RAVEN MCMILLEN (STAGE MANAGER) is thrilled to be returning to his home stage at Key City Public Theatre where he first started with Shakespeare’s COMEDY OF ERRORS (Dromio E.), Raven is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and has been working the stages of LA for over a decade. Raven’s work includes four years at The Dolby Theatre and two seasons as stage manager for the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles.
Meet the Band
JOEY GISH (VIOLIN, OCT 3-6 & 24-26) began playing violin at the age of eight and found fiddling near the end of high school. Since then he’s played in bands around the region at dances, festivals, bars, and weddings. His current band, Sweater Weather Stringband, plays around and is available for booking. He has compiled and published a book of regional fiddle tunes called the Cascadia Book of Fiddle Tunes.
RACHEL GRIBBEN (VIOLIN, OCT 10-18, 20 & 27) played in pit orchestras for theater productions including CAROUSEL, PARADE, THE WIZARD OF OZ, Bernstein’s MASS, and SEUSSICAL: THE MUSICAL while attending Northwestern University. She was a member of NU’s Philharmonic Orchestra and their Baroque Music Ensemble. Rachel began playing Irish traditional music in 2009 and followed that interest all the way to Ireland for a year. Other performances: the Marion Consort in Chicago, performing a wide range of music from the 1100s-1750, at festivals such as Early Music Now in Milwaukee and the Boston Early Music Fringe Festival.
ISSAC JASINSKI (BASS) hails from a classical music background, having led cello and bass sections in the Rogers High and Pierce College orchestras in Puyallup. He has since broken the classical mold to explore more contemporary bass grooves and personal expression in songwriting. Upon moving to Port Townsend in 2021, he is steadily forging connections with the community through local bands, events, and private instruction (now accepting new students). He was the bassist in the sultry and smokey GUNMETAL BLUES at KCPT last February.
ANGIE TABOR (DRUMS, OCT 3-20) is an independent, in-demand freelance musician based in Port Townsend. Angie is known for being highly versatile & adaptable, creative & solid, yet willing to lean into or even incite the unexpected. Their latest instrumental trio, Intensive Porpoises, is gaining widespread recognition for top-shelf musicianship, creativity, and expression. Angie maintains an active performance schedule and is a dedicated music educator. At KCPT, they were last seen as drummer in ALWAYS…PATSY CLINE.
SAL MICHAEL (DRUMS, OCT 24-27) is a lifelong percussionist, amateur accordionist, guitarist, and enthusiastically loud singer based in Port Angeles. Their most recent musical works include sitting in with the Peninsula College Jazz Band, the Port Angeles Symphony Orchestra, the Jazz Jam at New Moon Craft Tavern, and an all-queer/trans improvised punk band called QTPI Xpress. Outside of music, Sal is an educator, mental health provider, gardener, lake swimmer, mushroom admirer and forest saunterer.
