What happens when a group of frenzied clowns takes a stab at performing a Greek tragedy in a forest flooded with magic? They become the mechanical maniacs! See your 2024 KCPT teaching artists tackle Shakespeare's most famous clowns.

Camps Bluster and Hill-a-Wee are sent into chaos as Theseus arrives to announce he must close one of the camps to make way for his new wife's mansion. His son Demetrius and fellow camper Lysander must now lead Camp Bluster in a winner take all talent show against Camp Hill-a-Wee, led by Hermia and Helena. All the while King Oberon sets his trusty aid, Puck to scatter magic, confusion and humor across the forest. By: Terrance Patrick Hughes.

Dacha Theatre (with KCPT Alum, Emily Huntingford) returns to wrap up KCPT's magical summer season with a full production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, in which their small company of actors memorizes Shakespeare's entire script, and the audience rolls the dice each night to determine who plays who!
